New York, NY – July 11, 2019: Westwood One, America’s largest audio network, and Bonnie-Jill Laflin, the NBA’s first and only female scout, are announcing a new podcast called The Weekly Pass. Upcoming episodes of this engaging, original weekly sports podcast feature interviews with sports superstars Lenny Wilkens, Roger Clemons, Shaquille O’Neil, Jerry Rice, and Curt Schilling.

Every Wednesday Bonnie-Jill and co-host Adam Copeland, one of the Top 30 Sportscasters Under 30, share interviews with prominent athletes and celebrities discussing sports news and action with an insider’s perspective.

Bonnie-Jill has a number of firsts in her career. About Bonnie-Jill Laflin
Bonnie-Jill Laflin holds the front office position as a NBA scout with the Los Angeles Lakers. She is the first to cheer on a professional level for three teams, in two sports, starting with the NBA and the Golden State Warriors, and moving to the NFL with both the San Francisco 49ers and the Dallas Cowboys. Laflin is the first female to be awarded six championship rings in two professional sports, earning a Super Bowl ring during her time cheering for the 49ers and five NBA championship rings as an executive for the Lakers. Laflin is currently the co-host of KNBR’s Morning Show, a segment reporter for FOX Sports, contributor for NFL Films, the NBA insider on the UK’s BBC Sports, and host of NBA China. Beyond her professional ventures, Laflin is committed to and passionate about animal welfare and the nation’s veterans. She has traveled abroad on 19 USO tours, including bases in Iraq and Afghanistan, to boost the morale of service members. She is the founder of Hounds and Heroes, a national non-profit dedicated to serving and connecting wounded warriors and rescue animals in need. A strong advocate for animal welfare education and awareness, Laflin has participated in multiple national animal protection public awareness campaigns.

About Adam Copeland
Adam Copeland is a sports commentator, producer and radio talk show host who has been making waves in the Bay Area broadcasting industry for the last decade. While in college at San Francisco State University, Copeland called both baseball and basketball games for the school’s radio and television stations.In 2016, he was hired at KNBR and quickly climbed the professional ladder. He started out as a board operator and eventually became the producer of KNBR Tonight with Ryan Covay. In February 2018, after time as a fill-in host, Copeland was named host of his own talk show, The Leadoff Spot with Adam Copeland. The show airs weekday mornings from 5 – 6 a.m. Pacific. Copeland is also the co-host of Weekends in the Park ahead of the San Francisco Giants home games. In October 2018 Copeland was named to the Sportscasters Talent Agency of America’s list of the Top 30 Sportscasters Under 30. He was the only African American to make the list. Copeland currently lives in San Francisco. During his free time, he enjoys golfing, playing basketball, and spending time with his girlfriend and cheering on his favorite team, the San Francisco Giants.
